Pottawatomie County Office Building Closed to the Public

In an effort to prioritize the safety of its citizens and employees, the main County office building at 207 N 1st St is closed to the public. The Justice Center, Health Department, and Landfill will remain open to the public in a limited capacity

Please review the list of services that can be performed remotely. The County office building will remain open, and the public can call or e-mail each office during normal business hours.

Payments can be mailed to County offices or placed in the dropbox on the north side of the building. Utility payments can be made online, by mail, or at the Farmer’s State Bank drive-thru facilities in Westmoreland and East Manhattan. Certain other payments can be made online or over the phone, but the public should contact the individual office to determine their payment options.

The Justice Center, Health Department, and Landfill will remain open to the public in a limited capacity for the time being. Entrance to the Justice Center is limited to the west doors, and only those with related business will be admitted.

Additionally, the District Court has closed all Courtrooms to the general public until further notice. A petition seeking relief under the Kansas "Protection from Abuse Act" or the Kansas "Protection from Stalking, Sexual Assault or Human Trafficking Act" can be obtained by the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office. Once completed, please return the petition to the Sheriff’s Office and you will be notified as to whether your request for relief has been granted or denied. For more information, please see the following Notice from the District Court.
