Beginning Monday, August 8, 2022, chip seal work will begin in Pottawatomie County in different areas.
This maintenance operation will apply a liquid asphalt oil to the road surface and then cover the liquid asphalt oil with limestone chips.
The roads receiving this treatment are the asphalt portions of Beach and English Ridge roads, Louisville Road from Flush Road to Highway 99, Military Trail Road from Highway 24/Lake Elbo Road to Columbian Road, John Scott Road, Grantham Drive, and Christi Lane. Work is expected to start in the north end of the County and progress south.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane with flaggers and a pilot vehicle directing traffic through the work zone. Work will only take place during daylight hours. Motorist can expect delays up to 15 minutes when traveling through these work zones. Please plan accordingly.
Work is weather dependent but is expected to be completed by September 15, 2022.
