Plan Pottawatomie 2040

Background

The new comprehensive plan for Pottawatomie County, dubbed Plan Pottawatomie 2040, was an 18-month effort to create the County’s first new plan since 1994 The plan covers the unincorporated areas of the County and includes chapters on land use, growth, and transportation.

Adoption

The Pottawatomie County Planning Commission adopted the Plan on August 15, 2019. The Plan was then adopted by the Pottawatomie County Board of County Commissioners on August 19, 2019 by adoption of Resolution 2019-64

Amendments

The Planning and County Commissions conduct an annual review of the Plan, and from time to time amendments are required. Those amendments are listed below:
