Flood Information
Pottawatomie County staff have been meeting with outside agencies over the past couple months in preparation for potential flood water inundation and related issues that may occur at Tuttle Creek Lake and area waterways. Area agencies are working together in preparing for emergencies and will coordinate efforts if a flood event occurs.

- Now is the time to begin converstations about where to stay & store essential valuables should flooding occur.
- IF MAJOR FLOODING HAPPENS:
- Public utilities could be impacted. Electricity will be turned off immediately in inundated areas and will be turned back on when conditions are safe.
- The water supply in and near affected areas will be reduced. Residents will be advised to stop all irrigation and conserve water.

Flood Insurance Rate Maps
- Flood Insurance Rate Maps - Residents in & near the floodplain should determine if they may be affected by potential flooding.
