Purpose of the Program
Family Planning provides basic health services essential for the promotion of optimal health throughout a woman's life cycle.
Services Offered
The following services are offered at the Westmoreland Health Department:
- Birth Control Counseling and Supplies
- Blood Pressure Checks
- Breast Exams
- Pap Smears as Indicated
- Pelvic Exams
- HPV Typing
- Smoking Cessation Information
- Immunization Status Reviewed
- Nutrition Counseling
- Pregnancy Test
- Referrals as Needed (i.e. Colposcopy, Mammogram)
- STD Testing / Treatment
Program Eligibility
Any client who is in need of basic women's health services, primarily those at or below 150% of poverty and whose insurance doesn't cover these services.
We can now bill some insurance companies for services rendered.
Please bring a copy of your current insurance card.
***Initial and annual exams are by appointment only.
Fees
There is a sliding fee scale based on family size and income.
Enrollment / Appointment Process
First visit (prior to initial exam) includes history and education session. Call 785-457-3719 to make an appointment for this or any other clinic appointment.
