The Pottawatomie County Planning and Zoning Office is responsible for administering the County’s Unified Development Regulations (UDR) which cover subdivision and zoning regulations.
News and Upcoming Meetings
Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the regularly scheduled Planning Commission meeting for March 19, 2020 has been postponed to April 2, and will be conducted via Zoom. Building codes went into effect in the Blue Township Sewer District on January 1, 2020. As part of the codes process, contractors and their sub-contractors will be required to obtain a Pottawatomie County License. Floodplain Mapping Updates
The Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs) and Flood Insurance Study (FIS) for the Wamego, Belvue, and St Marys areas are being updated to provide more accurate information. For more information please see the above link.
Unified Development Regulation Amendments
The County is reviewing our development regulations. The UDR is the County’s zoning and subdivision document, and has a significant impact on land use in Pott County.
