The Pottawatomie County Planning and Zoning Office is responsible for administering the County's Unified Development Regulations (Zoning Regulations).
The office is additionally responsible for county land use planning and implementing the County Land Use Plan. This includes reviewing and issuing building and sign permits, floodplain management, 911 addressing and coordinating new subdivisions plat reviews.
Ongoing Projects Floodplain Mapping Updates The Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs) and Flood Insurance Study (FIS) for the Wamego, Belvue, and St Marys areas are being updated to provide more accurate information. For more information please see the above link.
