Purpose:
Prenatal education and Resource Program for pregnant women. The program provides support for family
and monitoring of baby (growth & development, immunization status etc.) through the first year of life.

Description:
This program is a preventative health project designed to serve pregnant women, mothers & infants.
Goals are to promote good health of women during pregnancy by helping them lower risk factors that could
lead to low birth weight babies, and to help them enhance parenting skills.
The Maternal and Infant support team consists of a registered nurse, dietician, social worker that work
with the client and client's doctor.
There is minimal funding for prenatal care for women that are not eligible for Medicaid,
who meet income guidelines or have high insurance deductibles. |

Any pregnant woman in Pottawatomie County. |

Appointments:
Monthly or as designated by team.
